Māltinōr Smoke Salts¶

Twist-wrapped paper packets of chemically treated salt, each about the length of a finger, drawn from the royal stores of Castle Nōrfell and marked with the crest of The House of Māltinōr. Strike one against a rough surface to ignite it, and it'll release a green-gold flare for roughly thirty seconds. The burn is brief, the smoke disperses quickly, and the twist is spent on use.

• In clear conditions, a deployed smoke salt signals allies automatically within Far range, no roll required. In rain, heavy fog, or enclosed spaces, an ally must succeed on an Awareness roll to catch it before it burns out.
