The Echōbian Civil War¶

The sorcerous civil war that tore The Echōbian Empire apart over its final decade (1110UA – 1116 UA), fought between the two great cabals of spellweavers, The Vehāran under Rhaeis Nestrun and The Helostryn under Verin Carrad, over the creation of the REDACTED. The Council of Echōr, the empire's political body, was crushed between them. The war ended in The Sundering of Echōr.

The war began before anyone even became aware of it, whenYtīa placed the idea for REDACTED in Rhaeis Nestrun's mind in 1109 UA. Nestrun brought the working to The Vehāran in spring of 1110 UA. Verin Carrad learned of the research within six months.

The war ended with The Sundering of Echōr: a single detonation at the center of Echōr that killed the heads of both cabals, the Ad brothers, and almost every living thing within a hundred and sixty miles of The Loom.
